KLG Jones provided full commissioning services for the new AdventHealth Clermont Health Park before its opening in January 2022. The free-standing two-story 36,000 square foot medical complex received full commissioning services for its mechanical, electrical (both normal and emergency) and plumbing systems.
The scope of the project was full cycle, beginning in the design phase. The facility had its drawing reviewed as well as the MEP submittals, and KLG Jones provided comments to the design team for consideration before the project began. During construction, periodic on-site inspection visits were made, during which the KLG Jones team witnessed equipment startups, and conducted commissioning meetings.
While construction progressed, KLG Jones developed custom functional performance tests specifically for AdventHealth’s Clermont Health Park. Near completion of this healthcare construction project, the functional testing was conducted in a team format with the contractors.
The project’s test and balance report was validated through random sampling techniques. Functional testing was complete in November 2021, and January 2022 saw the associated back-check completed.
The facility, designed by Little Architects and TLC Engineering, passed its ACHA (state) inspections on schedule and opened in January 2022. It’s located directly adjacent to the new Clermont ED, and will provide concierge-level care.
