KLG Jones provided LEED commissioning services for the new 42,000 GSF two-story anchor facility for the new 25-acre TriCounty Technical campus in Easley, South Carolina.
The new building includes classrooms, science labs, conference rooms, industrial labs, student lounge, library, and academic services all under one roof. A subdividable multipurpose room has the ability to accommodate up to 600 persons for large events, and is supported by an adjacent catering kitchen. The design utilized high-efficiency mechanical equipment, high performance glazing, occupancy sensors, and “cool roof” technology.
KLG Jones provided commissioning specifications, commissioning plan, pre-functional checklists, and functional performance tests. We reviewed drawings and submittals providing review comments. We held commissioning meetings, performed site inspections, and witnessed equipment startups and functional tests.
KLG Jones is a nationally recognized engineering firm dedicated to building commissioning, retro-commissioning, energy audits, energy modeling, energy consulting, test and balance and problem building investigation.
