This is a new combination manufacturing, storage and office facility for Koyo Jteck (formerly Timken Manufacturing) completed in Greenville, SC. The lower level consists of a 70,000 sq. ft. high bay manufacturing facility for the production of prototype products. Air conditioning consists of large air rotation units combined with unit heaters and fan coil units.
The upper floor contains 40,000 sq. ft. of offices for management and research operations. Air conditioning is provided by an under floor air distribution system serving floor diffusers for displacement ventilation. Fan powered boxes are used for heat and perimeter cooling.
Chilled water is provided to the air rotation units and the air handling units from a central plant containing two high efficiency water cooled screw chillers. A cooling tower adjacent to the central plant is used for heat rejection.
KLG Jones provided full commissioning services for the mechanical and electrical systems as required to fulfill the LEED energy and atmosphere commissioning prerequisite.
The project received a LEED Silver rating.
