The project consisted of six new mixed-use buildings including condominiums, office and retail space.
Mechanical systems included large rooftop units serving a VAV distribution systems for the office building and water source heat pump units for the condominiums and retail spaces.
KLG Jones provided full commissioning services for the mechanical, electrical, and emergency power systems. Both LEED Fundamental and Enhance commissioning services were provided to help achieve the LEED Gold rating. All of the drawings were reviewed at critical time during the design phase of the project. Commissioning specifications and a commissioning plan were prepared. All of the MEP submittals were reviewed in parallel with the A/E team. Periodic site visits were made to inspect the construction and hold commissioning meetings. Functional performance tests were prepared and the functional testing was conducted in conjunction with the contractors. All of the test and balance work was validated through random sampling techniques. A complete deficiency list was maintained throughout the project and all of the deficiencies were backchecked prior to signing off on the project.
