The project consists of a new 4story freestanding core and shell construction on the new Belmont Campus for CaroMont. The building is connected to the hospital via the adjacent new parking garage. The new medical office building will be upfit with an Ambulatory Surgery Center, partially occupying the first level. Other upfits are in the planning stages with a Women’s Center confirmed.
Mechanical systems include will include dedicated HVAC and emergency power systems for the ASC upfit. The remainder of the building will utilize common rooftop DX equipment serving terminal units throughout. The building emergency power system will power life safety systems and associated ASC needs. The building and all upfits will utilize a common direct digital control system and vendor, Johnson Controls.
KLG Jones is providing full commissioning services for the mechanical, lighting, plumbing, and building automation system. KLG Jones is providing drawing and submittal reviews, detailed controls submittal review, construction site inspections, conducting commissioning meetings, witness duct leakage tests, pre-functional checklist documentation, and full functional performance testing, including test & balance validation.
KLG Jones performs hands-on technical commissioning and performs functional testing in a team format with one person at the device and the other person at the front end. We have an open-door policy with participation at any commissioning event for all project team members. Construction substantial completion will be staged with target initial opening in Fall 2022.
