Commissioning on CaroMont Health’s four-story vertical expansion of a Critical Care Tower in Gastonia is completed. KLG Jones concluded the project‘s commissioning tests. The tower, which was added over an existing two-story surgical suite, will now provide rooms for 26 critical care patients at CaroMont.
KLG Jones provided full commissioning services for the mechanical, lighting, plumbing and building automation systems, following reviews of preliminary drawings and submittals; construction site inspections; commissioning meetings during the construction process; witnessing of duct leakage tests; documentation of a pre-functional checklist; and full functional performance testing at the CaroMont Health site, including test & balance validation.
The hands-on technical commissioning was performed in a team format, with one person at the front end while another was at the device. The firm’s policy on all commissioning events is open-door for all project team members.
KLG Jones is also partnering with CaroMont Health on its hospital in Belmont, which is under construction. The firm has worked with numerous other healthcare industry leaders to assure safe and comfortable buildings for patients and staff.
