UABNPavillion The UAB-North Pavilion is a state of the art replacement hospital dedicated to Cardiovascular and Heart Medical Services. The building is a 12-story, 855,000 SF facility located on the University Hospital’s campus in downtown Birmingham. The North Pavillion is designed to provide the industry’s leading edge in patient care. Equipped with state of the art medical technology the facility is connected to existing medical center buildings via three pedestrian bridges. The spaces inside the facility include an Emergency Floor, Operating Floors, Frozen Section Floor, Central Sterile Floor, Patient Rooms, Laboratories and Research Areas. The North Pavilion represented the first UAB project completed under the Construction Manager - Agency delivery method.



KLG Jones provided complete commissioning services including drawing reviews, commissioning plan, shop drawing review, construction inspection, prefunctional and functional performance testing of all mechanical, electrical, emergency power, telecom, security, nurse call, pneumatic tube and code blue systems. The training of maintenance staff and final documentation was completed at the conclusion of the commissioning program.
